Utah Contractor CE Course Description

This year's CE from Flynn's quickED, formerly Contractor's School, ensures that every area of your business is covered and helps you realize the things you should be doing to stay in compliance and in business for years to come. It's a great opportunity to utilize our knowledge and expertise to increase yours!

The health insurance and health care reform class will help you become more familiar with health insurance terminology and the types of health plans, such as traditional, PPO, HMO, FSA, HAS and HRA.

Health care reform will also be discussed, highlighting large employer, small employer and the individual essential requirements. Let's not forget the health exchange, small business tax credits, individual subsidies, COBRA/Mini COBRA, self-funded plans and wellness programs. Everything related to health insurance covered in one, short class, and that's only the beginning.

We also cover the topic of risk management. Covering issues such as OSHA 300 logs, safety and employee manuals, accident reports, loss control and safety inspection reports, workers compensation and NCCI.

Regulatory compliance covers everything from what is an independent contractor to employee management, time management and job costing. This class will also help you understand the Davis Bacon Act, certified payroll, project management and the different departments involved in building a successful business, such as the Labor and State Tax Commissions.

Not your everyday OSHA and safety information course, our interactive class highlights specific safety procedures to reduce your risk. Taught by a certified OSHA instructor, the class will keep you on the edge of your seat as you engage in discussions and trivia used to expand your knowledge on what to expect and how to prepare. By the end of the class you will be an OSHA expert and the dreaded, four letter word will no longer be an annoyance.

You may think you've taken a class on business auto insurance, but our class will leave you wanting more information and asking questions you never knew you needed answered. Three things set us apart from other business auto insurance classes, and that is that our class is relevant to contractors, it opens your eyes to exclusions you didn't know existed, and reviews real-life claim scenarios opening the door to an engaging in-class discussion. This is business auto insurance at its finest.

In short, all those blind spots that contractor's sometimes miss can cost you in end. This year's seminar is about taking steps to make sure you, your employees and your business are protected.

The best solution to help keep you up to date with your license renewal, Flynn's quickED can help you complete your CE and reduce your risk.
